Linafoot: AS Simba topples TP Mazembe!

AS Simba caused a sensation on Sunday, March 30, by handing TP Mazembe their first defeat of the second half of the championship, and their second loss since the start of the season.
With a minimal yet precious victory (1-0), the "Kamikazes" secured their qualification for the Play-Offs of the Linafoot.
An unyielding defense
In front of their passionate supporters gathered at Stade Dominique Diur, the players from Kolwezi put up a solid defense, effectively neutralizing the Ravens' attacks.
The Red and White managed to combine tactical discipline and fighting spirit to withstand the championship's best offense.
Cyril Mutuale decisive
The only goal of the match came in the 56th minute. Seizing a well-exploited opportunity, playmaker Cyril Mutuale rose to place an unstoppable header, catching goalkeeper Aliou Faty off guard.
This stroke of genius sealed the fate of the match and allowed the Kamikazes to savor a well-deserved victory.

With this victory, AS Simba climbs to 4th place in group A with 33 points, thus securing their ticket to the Play-Offs.
Despite this setback, TP Mazembe retains their lead with 50 points in 20 matches. A loss that, however, does not undermine their ambitions for the rest of the championship.
