Linafoot: Vita Club Falls Again Against the Eagles of Congo!

AS Vita Club is going through a tough period in this second half of the national championship of DR Congo. Still in search of a victory, the Green and Blacks of Kinshasa suffered another defeat against the Eagles of Congo (1-0) on Monday, March 10, in a match played in two acts at Stade Tata Raphaël.

Starting on the evening of Sunday, March 9, the match counting for the 20th day of the Linafoot quickly turned in favor of the Eagles of Congo. As early as the 13th minute, Ibrahim Matobo found the back of the net, putting his team on track.

Offensively uninspired, Youssouph Dabo's players struggled to threaten the opposing defense and went into the dressing room trailing by one goal.

Just as the second half resumed, the referee had to stop the match after only seven minutes due to lighting issues. Preview:

The remainder of the match was thus played the following morning, but despite their efforts, the Bana Mbongo never managed to equalize. The Samurais, well-organized, managed to maintain their lead until the final whistle.

With this victory, the Eagles of Congo solidify their second place with 28 points in 15 matches. Meanwhile, Vita Club remains stalled in fourth place with 24 points.

The losing streak continues for the Black Dolphins, still waiting for their first win in this second half.
