Linafoot: TP Mazembe Flies to the Top!

In their fortress of Kamalondo, TP Mazembe confirmed their status as leaders with a commanding victory against US Tshinkunku. This Sunday, the protégés of Senegalese coach Lamine Ndiaye secured a resounding win (3-0), further consolidating their place at the top of Group A in the Linafoot.

The Ravens of Lubumbashi took the lead very early in the match. With a pinpoint pass, Oscar Kabwit outmaneuvered goalkeeper Mutima Bayoka before slotting the ball into the net.

Despite a timid response from Tshinkunku, Mazembe continued to dictate the pace and doubled their lead before the half-hour mark. Once again, Kabwit found himself in an ideal position to score his second goal of the match.

Unstoppable, Mazembe Distances Lupopo

Returning from the break, the visitors tried to bounce back, but to no avail. After the hour mark, Muta Itana missed a golden opportunity to close the gap. A penalty conceded by Madou Zon could have reignited the suspense, but Aliou Faty brilliantly saved the attempt (66th minute). Mazembe then managed their lead with composure.

In the final moments, Souleymane Shaibu, who came on as a substitute, capped off his team's success. With a precise technical move, he bypassed the goalkeeper before finishing with a shot that hit the post and went in.

With this victory, Mazembe (44 points) extends their lead over Lupopo by 6 points, while Tshinkunku remains in 10th place.
