Liverpool: a date announced for Hugo Ekitike's return

Injured at the end of last season and absent from the 2026 World Cup, Hugo Ekitike knows when he will return with Liverpool.

The France international has been sidelined since rupturing his right Achilles tendon against Paris Saint-Germain (0-0) last April. Hugo Ekitike, 24, who made 45 appearances and scored 17 goals in all competitions during the 2025-2026 season, is continuing his recovery. According to L'Équipe, the Liverpool striker is currently following his return-to-play programme and hopes to return to competitive action during December.

Hugo Ekitike recently travelled to the United States to consult a specialist. He is now able to jog. The former Paris Saint-Germain striker is therefore considering a more intensive return to training in November before, if his fitness allows, returning to matches the following month.
