Liverpool have now agreed to the transfer of their player Curtis Jones to Inter Milan, and it appears that Liverpool will receive 30 million euros from the deal.

A verbal accord has been struck, with Liverpool now closing in on a deal worth €35 million in total. Terms have also been agreed with the player, and arrangements for a medical are already being lined up. All of this unfolds against a backdrop of persistent pursuit from Inter, who have been tracking the player throughout the summer and, by all accounts, have already seen two offers turned away.

The deal is now expected to cross the finish line within days, with Jones already cleared to undergo his medical at Serie A giants Inter. Personal terms are understood to be largely settled, and transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has placed the overall fee in the region of €35 million.

Jones was present with the squad at the AXA Training Centre on Wednesday, yet his omission from Liverpool's last two pre-season outings against Monaco and Como had already hinted that his departure was drawing near.

At 25, and with his contract entering its final year, the midfielder faced a growing challenge to secure regular minutes under Andoni Iraola, particularly with Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch poised to join Florian Wirtz in the central midfield setup. Rather than sourcing a direct replacement, Liverpool are expected to turn to academy graduate Trey Nyoni, whose performances during pre-season have caught the eye and earned the club's trust.
