Liverpool's recruitment team is reportedly keeping a close eye on Tomas Aranda, a young Argentine playmaker currently plying his trade at Boca Juniors.

While the club was active in the summer market, Anfield officials remain eager to strengthen further and have already begun mapping out their plans for the January window. According to El Intransigente, the Reds are preparing to table a formal bid for the teenage attacking midfielder as they look to add fresh creativity to their squad.

A major addition to the midfield

Although the Merseyside club's forward line has been given a real boost by the likes of Victor Munoz and Bradley Barcola, those in charge apparently feel there is still room for added spark in the attacking areas — and Aranda has emerged as a name they rate highly.

Still only 19, the attacking midfielder broke into Boca Juniors' senior setup at the beginning of the year and has already worn the shirt of the Argentine national team. An injury is currently keeping him out of action, yet despite his young age he has already racked up 32 club appearances and had a hand in four goals along the way.
