Luis de la Fuente continues his journey with Spain until 2032

The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) officially announced on Monday the extension of Luis de la Fuente’s contract until 2032. The Spain coach will therefore continue his journey at the helm of "La Roja" after leading them to the 2026 World Cup title.

In a statement published on its official website, the RFEF said that its board of directors had unanimously approved the extension of the 65-year-old coach’s contract.

The decision rewards Luis de la Fuente’s achievements since taking charge. Under his management, Spain have won the Nations League and Euro 2024, before lifting the 2026 World Cup.

Since taking charge of the national team, the Spanish coach has managed 49 matches, recording 39 wins, 7 draws and 3 defeats, according to Transfermarkt data.

Luis de la Fuente will now continue his tenure with several major challenges ahead, notably Euro 2028, the 2030 World Cup and Euro 2032.
