Manchester City: Erling Haaland radically changes his look
Just hours before Manchester City's Premier League opener, Erling Haaland stunned fans by unveiling a dramatically short haircut.
Erling Haaland really knows how to catch everyone off guard. In a video shared on his official accounts, the Norwegian striker waved goodbye to his iconic long blond hair, opting instead for a much shorter style reminiscent of his younger days. "New season, new trim," wrote the prolific forward, whose transformation quickly sparked a flurry of reactions.
This change in appearance comes on the heels of yet another prolific season. As the Premier League’s top scorer for 2025-2026, the 'Cyborg' netted 27 goals in 35 league matches and racked up 38 in all competitions. He also found the net seven times in five matches at the 2026 World Cup with Norway. These numbers only add to an already historic trajectory, as Haaland became the fastest player ever to reach 100 Premier League goals.
A new haircut to kick off the Maresca era
The new sporting season now awaits Haaland. Manchester City host Bournemouth this Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Etihad Stadium, kicking off their Premier League campaign. The match will mark Enzo Maresca’s debut in the league as manager of the Citizens, following Pep Guardiola’s departure after a decade-long reign.
The new manager needs an immediate response after the heavy defeat to Arsenal in the Community Shield (3-0). After finishing second in the league last season, City must quickly find their rhythm again. With a fresh look but the same attacking responsibility, Haaland will naturally be expected to launch this new era in style.
