In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Lewis Hal will remain at Newcastle United and will not be moving to Manchester United this season. In the same video, Romano indicated that United had contacted Balde's agent to inquire about the player's situation and whether he was considering a transfer.

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Manchester United have reached out to Jorge Mendes, the agent of Alejandro Balde, to enquire about the Spanish left-back's situation at Barcelona. This contact comes at a time when the Catalan club is experiencing intense transfer activity, with Mendes having arrived in Barcelona to discuss several matters—chief among them the Joao Cancelo deal, though that was not the only item on the agenda.

Romano explained that Mendes also intends to resolve the future of another of his clients, Marc Casado, who currently resides in Barcelona and needs to determine his next destination. As for Balde, Romano confirmed that the relationship between the player and the club is excellent, stating that "Barcelona and Balde share a great relationship, Balde is a Barca boy." He added that the player, in principle, does not wish to leave the club, saying: "Balde, in principle, doesn't want to leave Barcelona."
