Maurice Revello Tournament: Ivory Coast and DR Congo to battle for bronze

Maurice Revello Tournament heads into its decisive stages after a fiercely contested group phase. While Tunisia will play in the final, the Ivory Coast U23s are set to face DR Congo for third place.

The Olympic Elephants, led by Mamadou Doumbia, finished second in Group B with 8 points, keeping their hopes alive until the very end. They had to wait for Portugal to slip up against Canada to dream of a final berth, but fate had other plans as the Portuguese stormed past Canada with a commanding 3-0 win in the last round.

With this victory, Portugal topped Group B and booked a date with Tunisia in the final, dashing Ivory Coast's hopes of contesting the title.

Meanwhile, DR Congo finished strong with a 2-0 win over Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, June 10, securing second spot in Group A behind Tunisia.
That sets up an all-African third-place playoff between the two sides on June 13 in Toulon.
