Mercato: Christ Inao Oulai on his way to Fiorentina after a dramatic day

The Christ Inao Oulai saga is finally nearing its end. After a day marked by an extraordinary incident in Turkey, the Ivorian striker is now heading to Italy to finalize his move to Fiorentina.

According to multiple Italian and Turkish media outlets, the player has already signed the documents related to his arrival. He has left Istanbul and is expected to land in Bologna overnight before heading to Florence for his medical and to make the move official.

A surprising incident in Istanbul

According to Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, individuals reportedly posed as drivers sent by Trabzonspor to pick up Oulai and his father upon their arrival in Istanbul. Both men got into the vehicle before the Turkish club, worried after losing contact with the player, began searching for them.

Trabzonspor officials eventually found the player safe and sound, bringing an end to this unexpected and unsettling episode.

A contract until 2031

Fiorentina are now on the brink of sealing the deal. Christ Inao Oulai is expected to sign a contract running until June 2031.

The transfer fee is estimated at 27 million euros, with an additional 3 million euros in potential bonuses, while his former club will retain a 10% sell-on clause.

Barring any last-minute twists, the Ivorian international will officially become a Fiorentina player in the coming hours.
