Mercato: Yannis Nahounou joins AS Nancy Lorraine

A new chapter begins for Yannis Nahounou. The young French-Ivorian defender has officially signed with AS Nancy Lorraine.

The club, a member of France’s Ligue 2, confirmed the contract signing, announcing a deal that will keep Nahounou at Nancy for the next three seasons.

Born in Meaux and just 21 years old, the centre-back of Ivorian descent came through the youth system at OGC Nice. Last season, he played for Reggina in Italy’s Serie B, although his time on the pitch was limited—making just five substitute appearances throughout the campaign.

Yannis Nahounou becomes ASNL’s fourth summer signing in this transfer window. The club is aiming for a return to the top flight, having successfully secured promotion back to Ligue 2 this season.
