Michael Ricketts offers strong support to Gianni Infantino!

Jamaica Football Federation President Michael Ricketts has become the latest FIFA member to give his public backing to Gianni Infantino, the FIFA President, amid the ongoing controversy surrounding him.

Ricketts said: "Infantino might have made a mistake, but the intentions were to help Caribbean countries or help smaller countries. Can you imagine Jamaica getting $40M to invest in football? Can you imagine the difference that would make in 4 or 5 years?"

The Jamaican federation president continued, defending his position: "People will have different views and different opinions for different reasons. But I am not supporting UEFA because I think that they always want to be in opposition and always want to oppose. It doesn't matter who is president, they are going to have issues. It doesn't matter how well the president does, they are going to have issues and I think that UEFA is behaving like a set of spoilt kids."

This support comes at a time when Infantino's administration faces growing criticism from European federations, while officials from smaller nations see his financial policies as serving their interests and providing them with unprecedented resources to develop the game.
