I know you’re still angry, but I promise I’ll do everything in my power to ensure this marks a new beginning for Egyptian football on the international stage. Qualifying for the World Cup won’t be enough, nor will simply taking part. This team deserves your trust.

This participation is considered the best participation for Egypt in the World Cup. They qualified at the expense of Australia from the round of 32, and then they were able to qualify from the group stage in second place.
