Monaco sets a massive price tag for Lamine Camara

Lamine Camara now carries a hefty price tag. With Liverpool, Manchester United, and Chelsea all keeping a close eye on the AS Monaco midfielder, the Principality club has reportedly set the bar at over €60 million.

Even €60 million won't be enough

Monaco's stance appears to be particularly firm. According to reports from France, even a €60 million offer could be turned down by Monaco's management, who want to keep the player for at least another season to further boost his value.

This strategy comes after the club rejected a bid from Crystal Palace, reportedly worth around €35 million according to various sources. English clubs now know they will likely have to invest much more to convince Monaco. Lamine Camara, 22, is under contract with ASM until June 2029. This long-term deal gives the French club plenty of leverage at the negotiating table.

Why can Monaco afford to be so demanding?

Signed from Metz in 2024 for around €15 million, Camara has since taken his game to another level on the Rock. He has become a key figure for Monaco and has also reaffirmed his status with the Senegal national team.

His profile as a versatile midfielder, capable both of breaking up play and driving forward, is particularly attractive to Premier League clubs. Liverpool, Manchester United, and Chelsea are now among the clubs closely monitoring his situation.
