Monaco signs Sadibou Sané on five-year deal

AS Monaco announces its fourth signing of the transfer window. As expected for weeks, Sadibou Sané leaves Metz and joins the principality side.

The 22-year-old central defender, a product of the Génération Foot academy, has signed a five-year contract with Monaco, keeping him at the club until 2031. Born and raised in Senegal, he arrives after spending three seasons in the Lorraine region.

Despite Metz’s relegation to Ligue 2, Sané delivered some eye-catching performances: 23 matches in Ligue 1 last season, and 72 appearances in total for Metz, scoring 5 goals.

The Senegal U20 international strengthens Monaco’s back line, which has already lost Krépin Diatta and could also see Lamine Camara depart.

Sané joins Ansu Fati, Nazinho, and Mathys Ditourbe among the new faces. Monaco continues to rely on Senegalese talent to bolster its squad.
