Morocco: Fouzi Lekjaa announces withdrawal of bids for African competitions

The president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Fouzi Lekjaa, has taken everyone by surprise by announcing a major decision regarding Morocco's policy on hosting continental competitions.

In a firm statement, the Moroccan official declared that the Kingdom will no longer submit bids to host African tournaments.

"We will no longer submit our candidacy to host any African competition, whatever it may be. If other countries wish to organize them, they are free to do so," he stated.
