Morocco-Tanzania: friendly match cancelled due to five injuries
The friendly match between Morocco and Tanzania, scheduled for October 5 in Morocco, will ultimately not take place. The match was cancelled after medical examinations confirmed that five Tanzanian players were unavailable.
The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) announced the cancellation following consultations between its medical team and Taifa Stars head coach Miguel Gamondi. The various parties agreed to end preparations for the match.

Five players declared unavailable
According to the TFF, medical examinations carried out during Tanzania’s training camp established that five players would be unable to take part in the match against Morocco. The federation did not disclose their identities or specify the nature of their injuries.
This situation led Tanzania to revise its programme during this international window. The national team was already in Morocco after facing Madagascar on September 29 in Meknes as part of the qualifiers for the 2027 AFCON.
The match against Morocco was supposed to be an additional friendly for the Taifa Stars. It ultimately could not go ahead because of the number of unavailable players.
At this stage, the TFF has not announced a new match to replace the fixture scheduled for October 5.
