Neto returns to Juventus

Brazilian goalkeeper Neto Murara, 37, is officially back at Juventus. The Turin club announced on Monday the signing of the goalkeeper, who has committed through June 2027.

Neto arrives as a free agent after terminating his contract with Botafogo. Juventus are strengthening their goalkeeping department after Kamil Grabara suffered a serious injury, tearing the cruciate ligament in his right knee.

During his final season with Botafogo, in 2025, Neto made four appearances in all competitions. He played three matches in Brazil's Série A and one in the Brazilian Cup, for a total of 319 minutes.

Previously with Juventus between 2015 and 2017, Neto joined the Turin club from Fiorentina. He won two Serie A titles, two Coppa Italia trophies and one Italian Super Cup during that period.

The Brazilian subsequently played for Valencia, FC Barcelona and Arsenal. He spent three seasons with Barça, from 2019 to 2022. At Juventus, Neto will reunite with Luciano Spalletti and compete with Guglielmo Vicario, the club's first-choice goalkeeper and an Italy international.
