Norway: The Norwegian Federation donates proceeds from the match against Israel to Médecins Sans Frontières for Gaza
The Norwegian Football Federation has announced that it will donate all proceeds generated from the World Cup qualifying match, which ended in a 5-0 victory over Israel, to Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) to support the people of Gaza.
The funds raised will be used to finance emergency interventions, including medical care and humanitarian assistance for those affected by the conflict in the Palestinian enclave.
In the same spirit of solidarity, a Norwegian company also contributed to the humanitarian effort by donating more than 3 million Norwegian kroner, which amounts to approximately 305,000 US dollars (nearly 1.5 million Brazilian reais).
Norway is consistently involved in funding humanitarian and environmental projects around the globe. The country is a major supporter of the Amazon Fund in Brazil, while also increasing its contributions to international aid operations.
