Official: Karim Adeyemi joins FC Barcelona until 2031

FC Barcelona officially announced on Thursday the signing of German striker Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund during the summer transfer window.

The Catalan club paid €22 million, with an additional €10 million in potential bonuses, to secure the services of the German international. The 24-year-old has signed with the Blaugrana until June 30, 2031.

Adeyemi joined Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2022 from RB Salzburg for a transfer fee of €30 million. Since then, he has established himself as one of the fastest and most explosive forwards in the Bundesliga.

In an official statement released on their website, FC Barcelona confirmed that Karim Adeyemi will once again play under Hansi Flick—the coach who handed him his first cap for the German national team.

Moreover, the former RB Salzburg player enjoyed a period of rest after not being included in the Germany squad for the 2026 World Cup, allowing him to start his new adventure in Catalonia in peak condition.
