Official: Trabzonspor announce date and venue for 'Historic' Mohamed Salah unveiling

Mohamed Salah has officially signed a 2 year contract with Trabzonspor, completing one of the most high profile transfers in the history of Turkish football.

What Happened: Contract signed and ceremony set

After arriving in Turkey to a spectacular reception, the Egyptian forward has now formalised his agreement. The club published official photographs showing Salah signing his two year contract in the presence of Trabzonspor president Ertugrul Dogan, officially confirming his arrival as a free agent.

With the paperwork complete, the Black Sea club immediately announced a grand presentation ceremony to welcome their new talisman. In a statement released across their social media channels, Trabzonspor invited supporters to gather in the stands:

"We meet today, Thursday 6 August at 19:30 with the signing ceremony of Mohamed Salah. Wear the new season shirt and come witness history at our stadium, Papara Park"

Thousands of supporters are expected to pack Papara Park this evening at 19:30 local time to witness Salah's official introduction. Following the media obligations and fan celebrations, the immediate focus will shift to the pitch.

The coaching staff will begin integrating the forward into group training as Trabzonspor ramp up their preparations for their opening domestic and European fixtures.
