Official: Trabzonspor Complete the Signing of Mohamed Salah on a Free Transfer

Turkish club Trabzonspor officially announced on Wednesday the signing of Mohamed Salah on a free transfer following the expiration of the Egyptian forward's contract with Liverpool.

In a statement published on its official social media channels, Trabzonspor confirmed that Salah's signing and unveiling ceremony will take place on Thursday, August 6, at 4:30 p.m. GMT at Papara Park.

The club also invited its supporters to attend the event, saying: "We invite all our fans to join us at Papara Park wearing the club's new-season jersey so that we can witness a historic moment together and take the first step on this unforgettable journey."

Even before the official announcement, Salah's arrival at Istanbul Atatürk Airport generated tremendous excitement. The Egyptian captain received a warm welcome from hundreds of Trabzonspor supporters, while Turkish media provided extensive coverage of the event.

Salah also drew attention by wearing the No. 61 shirt, a number that holds special significance for Trabzonspor supporters as it represents the license plate code of the Trabzon province.

Trabzonspor will begin their Turkish Süper Lig campaign on August 15 with an away match against Kasımpaşa, before hosting Başakşehir at Papara Park on August 23 in front of their home fans.
