OM: Bruno Genesio opens up about Nayef Aguerd's return

New OM coach Bruno Genesio has addressed the Nayef Aguerd situation.

The Moroccan international experienced a false start at Real Sociedad last week. Nayef Aguerd reportedly failed to pass his medical according to the Basque club, a claim the Moroccan defender strongly denies. The player hasn't featured for several months due to injury.

Despite this, Bruno Genesio is counting on the Moroccan. Nayef Aguerd is handling his situation with composure and remains fully focused on the pitch, according to the coach at a press conference. "I talk to him a lot. He needs to talk as well, but he is focused on the pitch and only on the pitch. He’ll be judged on what he does at the start of the season. Nayef (Aguerd) is in a different situation, he hasn't played for 5 months. He first needs to get back into rhythm. As for Pierre (Højbjerg), I haven’t seen any change in his attitude." said Bruno Genesio.
