Beyond the purely sporting aspect, this trip will be a true event for local fans. The Ivorian Minister of Tourism and Leisure, Siandou Fofana, welcomed this visit with enthusiasm:

“The arrival of Olympique de Marseille is much more than a sporting tour. It reflects our ambition to make Côte d'Ivoire a leading destination for tourism, leisure, and major events, while offering people and football fans a unique experience marked by sharing and friendliness.”
