The young central defender Ousmane Diao is making waves with the Danish club Midtjylland.

The Dakar native is already knocking on the door of the Senegal national team, having previously represented the U20 and U23 squads.

- Trained at the AF Darou Salam academy, he ventured to Europe in 2023 with his first stint at the Portuguese club Mafra.

- He was signed by Midtjylland during the summer transfer window for a handsome sum of 3 million euros.

- His market value is estimated at 4 million by the specialized website transfermarket.

- Despite his defensive position, he has scored 7 goals in 41 matches across all competitions.

- He has also provided 2 assists, notably against FC Copenhagen in the Danish championship and in the Europa League.
