Paul Pogba already courted after becoming a free agent
Free from any contract since the announcement of his departure from AS Monaco this Wednesday, Paul Pogba must now decide on the next step in his career.
This morning, AS Monaco announced Paul Pogba's departure. "The Principality club and the French international midfielder jointly announce the end of the adventure that began in the 2025 off-season. Sharing the observation that the initial objectives were only partially achieved, AS Monaco and Paul Pogba have decided, ahead of the first official match of this new season, to terminate the contract that bound them until June 2027." reads the official statement.
Still sidelined by injury during the preseason, Paul Pogba saw AS Monaco call it quits. According to Fabrizio Romano, clubs from the Saudi Pro League and Major League Soccer have already contacted the 2018 World Cup winner in recent weeks, and his decision is expected soon.
It's worth noting that the transfer window for these two leagues closes later than in Europe (September 10 for the SPL), so there's no rush. Moreover, as a free agent, the Frenchman's status also allows him to join a new team outside the official transfer windows.
