Portugal: Cristiano Ronaldo return under discussion
The Portuguese Football Federation is stepping up efforts to bring Cristiano Ronaldo back. The organisation intends to do everything possible to end the feud between the player and manager Jorge Jesus.
Cristiano Ronaldo (41 years old, 234 caps and 146 goals) could return to the national team during the next international break. That is, at least, the wish of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF). According to reports from Marca and Correio da Manhã, FPF president Pedro Proença wants to organise a meeting with "CR7" and his manager Jorge Jesus in order to ease tensions between the two men.

The aim of the approach is to prevent the story between the Portuguese legend and the Seleção from ending in such a brutal and painful manner. Within the Federation, it is thought that Cristiano Ronaldo deserves an international career finale worthy of his journey. It remains to be seen whether the Al-Nassr star is willing to enter into dialogue after feeling betrayed.
