Endrick is close to leaving Real Madrid in January
Before arriving at Real Madrid, Endrick was a highly touted prospect, having already dazzled audiences with his performances for Palmeiras in the Brazilian league.
However, everything changed literally upon his arrival at the Bernabéu; the player found himself lost amidst the coaches' selection choices, with no clear spot in the starting lineup and his appearances becoming extremely limited.
Endrick sought to find his footing away from the Bernabéu, opting for a loan move to Lyon for the second half of last season; he excelled there and has now returned to the Bernabéu.
Things did not go as the Brazilian had hoped
Yet things have not unfolded the way the Brazilian had hoped since the campaign got underway. Despite his team having contested eight matches, he has managed just four minutes on the pitch, all of them coming in the clash with Elche.
Against that backdrop, Diario AS is reporting that the forward intends to take stock of his situation once the season reaches its halfway point, leaving the door open to a mid-season switch. AS Roma looms as the most probable landing spot, a club that came extremely close to securing his signature during the summer and whose interest has not faded.
As things stand, Endrick remains determined to keep battling for his place at Real Madrid, and the Merengue outfit are monitoring his progress intently — particularly given the hefty outlay they made, shelling out €35 million up front plus a further €25 million in add-ons payable across two years.
