• Born in Italy to a Senegalese father and an Italian mother, he is eligible to represent both the Azzurri and the Lions on the international stage.

• He has earned several caps with Italy's youth teams but can still switch his sporting nationality in accordance with FIFA regulations.

  

• After kicking off his career with Vela Mesero (2009-2013), he joined Sampdoria's youth academy before being signed by Borussia Dortmund as a free agent in 2022.
• During the current season, he has featured in 17 matches across all competitions, including four appearances in the Bundesliga.
