Premier League: Omar Marmoush, “Mr. Dribbles”, the defenders’ nightmare
Egypt international Omar Marmoush has stood out for the quality of his dribbling this season, both with his club Tottenham Hotspur, and with the Egyptian national team.
The Cairo native leads the standings for the best dribblers in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2027) qualifiers, with 12 successful dribbles, level with Ivory Coast international Yan Diomandé.

Furthermore, he ranks second among the best dribblers in the English Premier League with 13 successful dribbles, five behind the leader in this ranking, Brazilian player Savio.
A fine performance from the former Eintracht Frankfurt player, who is playing for Spurs on loan from Manchester City, with whom he is under contract until 2029.

A very average record in the 2026-2027 season
Omar Marmoush has still not scored a single goal or provided a single assist in seven matches for Tottenham Hotspur this season.
However, he scored two goals for the Pharaohs against South Sudan in a match counting toward the second round of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2027) qualifiers.
Having been valued at €60 million last March, the Egyptian international’s market value fell significantly in the latest update on the Transfermarkt website, reaching €50 million.
At 27, Omar Marmoush stands out for his versatility, as he can play as a left winger, a second striker or a centre-forward.
