Two-time reigning European champions, PSG approach this encounter determined to continue their flawless run. Barcelona, meanwhile, want to confirm their positive momentum and make a major statement away from home. Luis Enrique and Hansi Flick's starting selections will be closely watched in this duel between two attack-minded sides.

Decisive choices for Luis Enrique and Hansi Flick

The build-up to the clash was marked by several questions regarding the squads. Paris must notably deal with the absence of Nuno Mendes and the return of Marquinhos to the squad. On the Catalan side, defensive absences have complicated Hansi Flick's choices, as he seeks the right balance to contain PSG's attacking threat.

Beyond the selected names, the use of the wide areas, the ability to withstand the press and control of midfield could determine how the match unfolds. Both clubs arrive with six points each after two matchdays, in a league phase where every result carries weight in the race for direct qualification for the round of 16.

This clash also comes amid two demanding domestic schedules: PSG compete in Ligue 1, while Barcelona play in La Liga. The Catalans notably had to prepare for the trip with a depleted group in the defensive department.
