Under contract until 2029, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia could soon extend his PSG deal as Paris anticipate the impact of the Ballon d’Or.

Paris Saint-Germain are already preparing their next major contract operation. After making progress over new deals for Ousmane Dembélé and Luis Enrique, the French champions now want to secure Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s long-term future. According to L’Équipe, an agreement is considered highly likely even though the Georgian international remains tied to PSG until June 2029.

Paris hope to complete negotiations before the Ballon d’Or result is announced, as a possible triumph could strengthen the player’s position in salary talks. Kvaratskhelia joined PSG for €70 million in January 2025 and has since recorded 28 goals and 19 assists in 84 appearances. Last season, he produced ten goals and seven assists across 16 Champions League matches, playing a decisive role in the club’s second consecutive European title.

2026 Ballon d’Or: Kvaratskhelia faces strong competition from Harry Kane

The 2026 Ballon d’Or ceremony will be held in London on Monday, October 26, while the 30-man shortlist will be revealed on September 8. Ousmane Dembélé won the previous edition in 2025 after an historic campaign with PSG in Ligue 1 and European competition.
