Back on the Madrid bench, José Mourinho delivered a powerful message about hard work, responsibility, and his commitment to the club.

Speaking to DAZN, José Mourinho immediately set the tone for his second spell at the helm.

"Creating a culture of hard work, responsibility, ambition—these are things I know well: the responsibility and honor of working for Real Madrid. I really like that concept. It's not about working at Real Madrid, it's about working for Real Madrid. That's the mindset I've brought with me here."

This statement sums up the mission handed to the Special One. After a season plagued by internal tensions, Florentino Pérez is counting on his authority to restore discipline and regain control of a dressing room that has become increasingly difficult to manage.

Mourinho returns to restore order

José Mourinho’s return to Real Madrid comes thirteen years after his original departure. Last season, the Portuguese coach led Benfica to a third-place finish in the Portuguese league, completing an unbeaten domestic campaign.

Between 2010 and 2013, Mourinho took charge of 178 matches for Madrid, winning 128 of them. He notably clinched the LaLiga title in 2011-2012 with a record 100 points and 121 goals, as well as a Copa del Rey and a Spanish Super Cup. His return is therefore driven by a clear priority: to rebuild a disciplined squad and put the club’s interests above personal ambitions.
