Real Madrid: José Mourinho reviews the pre-season

On Sunday night, Real Madrid wrapped up their preparations for the upcoming season. José Mourinho took the opportunity to share his assessment.

After the 3-0 win over Schalke 04 on Sunday evening, José Mourinho delivered a positive verdict on Real Madrid’s summer pre-season. The Portuguese tactician praised the collective progress of his squad just days before the LaLiga campaign kicks off. "We have players of incredible quality. We work very well as a team, both with and without the ball. (...) There is empathy and a real team spirit. The team is really starting to look like a proper unit," Mourinho said enthusiastically on Real Madrid’s official channel.

Mourinho also expressed his satisfaction with how the new signings have integrated, despite a demanding pre-season: “They arrived with a steely mentality.”

Real Madrid will kick off their LaLiga season next Friday with an away trip to Espanyol.
