Real Madrid: José Mourinho wants to sign the Chelsea captain!

Real Madrid is stepping up its pursuit of Enzo Fernández. Eager to bolster their midfield, the Madrid club has already opened talks with the Argentine international's camp, who is reportedly keen on joining Los Blancos. The next step is to reach an agreement with Chelsea, who are demanding a hefty fee.

Real Madrid has made a move for Enzo Fernández. According to the latest reports, Los Merengues have begun discussions with the midfielder's entourage, making the Argentine one of José Mourinho's top priorities to strengthen the midfield.

Indeed, the Portuguese coach has reportedly asked Florentino Pérez to sign the Chelsea player, ahead of other targets like Alexis Mac Allister or Mateus Fernandes. For his part, Enzo Fernández is said to be excited at the prospect of joining the Casa Blanca, with no issues expected over personal terms.

However, the main stumbling block remains financial. Chelsea are well aware of their player's desire to leave but are demanding a package worth €150 million. Real Madrid, on the other hand, hopes to wrap up the deal for around €120 million.
