This Sunday, Real Madrid play their final friendly before the start of the 2026-2027 LaLiga season. Kylian Mbappé wasted no time in opening the scoring.

Real Madrid are taking on Schalke 04 at the Veltins-Arena in their last pre-season match. This game marks the return of Kylian Mbappé to competitive action after the 2026 World Cup. Making his first start of the pre-season under José Mourinho, the French striker immediately made his presence felt.

It took just six minutes for the World Cup's all-time top scorer to capitalize on Madrid's intense pressing. The pressure, initiated by Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva, forced a mistake from the German defense, allowing Mbappé to win back the ball and beat Loris Karius.
