The candidate has named Jürgen Klopp as the absolute priority for his sporting project.
"We are talking about one of the best coaches of our time. But above all, we're talking about a leader capable of restoring to Real Madrid the competitive intensity, daily demands, professionalism, meritocracy, dressing room cohesion, and the taste for a job well done that have always defined the greatest eras in our history. That coach is Jürgen Klopp," he declared.
Aware that the former Liverpool manager has already turned down several offers, Riquelme remains convinced that Real Madrid can make a difference.
"Because there are many great clubs, but there is only one Real Madrid."
He also announced that, if elected, "Raúl González Blanco will get in touch with Jürgen Klopp to personally present our sporting project to him."
