According to information from Cadena SER, Arsenal made serious progress on the Brazilian winger’s signing during the last summer transfer window. In the Madrid dressing room, many players even thought that their teammate was going to join Mikel Arteta’s side.

Arsenal’s Gunners saw Vinicius Jr as a signing with global impact, capable of becoming one of the Premier League’s leading figures and notably embodying a new rivalry with Erling Haaland. Having stayed in Madrid, the former Flamengo player is now going through a difficult period and has already been booed several times by the Santiago Bernabéu crowd this season.
