José Mourinho's return to Real Madrid now appears to be all but certain. Just hours after Florentino Pérez's re-election, the latest reports from Spain signal a major acceleration in this highly anticipated saga.

Real Madrid is about to open a new chapter in its storied history. Indeed, only a few hours after being re-elected as president of the Madrid club, Florentino Pérez confirmed José Mourinho's return to the helm of the Casa Blanca.

However, events could move very quickly. According to El Chiringuito, the Portuguese tactician is set to be presented to the Spanish press as early as this Tuesday. Furthermore, the Spanish media outlet claims that the Special One has already spoken with several squad members to ensure a smooth arrival in the Spanish capital.

Nonetheless, this return has been anticipated for several weeks. Journalist David Ornstein had already revealed at the end of May that José Mourinho had signed a three-year contract with Real Madrid.
