Real Madrid: Thierry Henry defends Kylian Mbappé against criticism

Often criticized for his negative impact on his teams, Kylian Mbappé can still count on Thierry Henry’s support.

Indeed, on Rothen s’enflamme on RMC, the former Arsenal player said it was up to coaches to find the right formula around Kylian Mbappé. In his view, it is possible to win with the Madrid player in the team.

« You can play well (with Kylian); it’s up to the coach to find a system that puts the team in the best possible conditions. That will be Zizou’s job, just as it was Didier Deschamps’ and that of all the coaches he had at PSG or Monaco. You have to find the right balance. It’s difficult, whether it’s Mbappé or not. You lose Rodri at Manchester City, and all you get are counterattacks, even though it’s just one player and Pep Guardiola was the coach. At Barça, you put Rodri in, and you concede fewer goals. I had asked Christophe Galtier (when he was at PSG): “How are you going to find the balance?” Mbappé really isn’t the problem. », he said.
