Slovan Bratislava: Yaya Touré dejected after another Champions League defeat
On Tuesday evening, Yaya Touré endured another difficult night with a Slovan side still too limited for the Champions League. The Ivorian's club were beaten 4-0.
Four months after being appointed at Slovan Bratislava for his first job as a head coach, Yaya Touré is failing to inspire confidence in the Champions League. Having already collapsed against PSG (1-6) and Stuttgart (0-3), the Slovak champions lost 4-0 at the Stadio Olimpico. Three matches, three defeats, 13 goals conceded and just one scored: that is Touré's record in the Champions League.
Yaya Touré reveals the problems
Yaya Touré is not being helped by his players' individual mistakes. For Roma's third goal, Tigran Barseghyan hesitated in his own penalty area despite having several options to clear the ball. “We were passive. At this level, these kinds of mistakes are very costly. We are not united. We do not stay focused for 90 minutes. We have to fight and help each other more,” he said.
