Champions League: FC Barcelona prepares complaint against PSG
On Tuesday evening, Paris Saint-Germain won the clash against FC Barcelona on the third matchday of the Champions League. Having been defeated, the Catalan club plans to file a complaint with UEFA against Paris.
Thanks to an impressive collective performance, PSG dominated FC Barcelona (4-2) on Tuesday in the Champions League. Paris coach Luis Enrique even praised the performance produced by his team, which met his expectations.
"Progress? You cannot judge based on one or two results. We were sensational defensively in the first half. We have the ability to overcome difficult moments, such as the 15 minutes when Barcelona were superior in the second half. We are a team that adapts to what happens on the pitch. And we finished with counterattacks. We adapt. I saw the same PSG as usual. That is our style: aggressive. With our supporters, it is easier to press," the Spanish coach said at a press conference.
Barça will file a complaint
Following the defeat, the Catalan club's management will file a complaint against PSG with UEFA. This is not because of the match result, but because of the banner displayed by the Parisian ultras.
“Parisian massacre,” it read, alongside an explicit drawing, in reference to the film The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. The Catalan media explained that Barça's management considers the banner highly inappropriate and will therefore refer the matter to UEFA to express its dissatisfaction.
