Spain: Aziz Issah returns to Barcelona

The Ghanaian winger Abdul Aziz Issah is back in Barcelona, where he is awaiting the official confirmation of his permanent transfer to FC Barcelona. After two seasons on loan from Dreams FC, the 20-year-old is on the verge of signing permanently with the Catalan club.

After two seasons on loan with Barça Atlètic, Abdul Aziz Issah is set to become a full-fledged FC Barcelona player. The young 20-year-old Ghanaian winger has returned to Catalonia to complete the final formalities of his transfer, which now only requires the club's final approval.

According to the Spanish daily SPORT, the official announcement is expected within the next few hours. Having arrived in Spain this week, Issah is now waiting for the green light from the club to resume training ahead of the new season.

His agent, Ohad Cohen, met with Barcelona officials on Friday at the Ciutat Esportiva to finalize the last details of the deal. Talks are said to have concluded successfully, with only the official confirmation remaining.

After an initial adjustment season with Barça Atlètic, the young Ghanaian made significant progress last campaign under Juliano Belletti. Taking advantage of injuries on the wings, he made his mark by scoring four goals late in the season, convincing the Blaugrana management to trigger his option.

The next step in his development now remains to be decided. FC Barcelona must choose between keeping him with Barça Atlètic, loaning him out to a club at a higher level than Segunda División, or giving him a place in Hansi Flick’s first-team squad. Club president Joan Laporta recently hinted that the Ghanaian international is part of the first team's plans.
