Super Lig: Simon Banza power 17!

As the DR Congo Leopards' gathering approaches, the indispensable Congolese striker Simon Banza once again showcased his impressive form with Trabzonspor. The star forward of Trabzonspor was pivotal this Sunday in his team's clear victory against Basaksehir (0-3), scoring a goal and providing an assist.

Starting the match, the 28-year-old striker wasted no time in making his presence felt. By the 6th minute, he had expertly capitalized on a sharp run to outpace his defender and score the first goal of the match, bringing his total to 17 goals in the Super Lig this season.

In the second half, Banza turned provider, delivering a decisive pass to Ozan Tufan for the 2-0.

Simon Banza, consistency to be leveraged in the national team

This latest standout performance confirms Simon Banza's consistency, who now boasts 17 goals and 3 assists in the Turkish championship. The Kinshasa native thus positions himself as the third top scorer in the Super Lig.

Thanks to this success, Trabzonspor climbs the standings to reach the top 10 with 35 points. An encouraging performance for Banza before joining the Congolese national team ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
