Transfer: Ismaël Saibari has completed his medical with Bayern Munich

Ismaël Saibari has taken a decisive step in his transfer to FC Bayern Munich. The Algerian forward successfully completed his medical this Thursday.

The medical examination took place over the past few days at the Moroccan national team’s training camp in New Jersey, where the Atlas Lions are currently competing in the 2026 World Cup. The digital paperwork for his contract is now reportedly being finalized.

A contract until 2031

The Moroccan attacking midfielder is set to sign with the Bavarian giants until 2031. While the electronic signature of the contract is being prepared, the physical signing is expected to take place after the World Cup.

The deal is valued at between €52 and €55 million, which would make Saibari one of the most significant transfers in Moroccan football history.

Galatasaray made an attempt

Before Bayern Munich’s concrete interest, Turkish club Galatasaray had already tried to recruit the player during the previous transfer window. According to journalist Erdem Açıkgöz, discussions led by Abdullah Kavukcu and the player’s camp had even reached the final stage of negotiations.

However, restrictions related to the foreign player quota and internal hesitations within the Istanbul club ultimately prevented the deal from going through.

Ismaël Saibari is now set to join one of Europe’s biggest clubs and take a major step forward in his career.
