Transfer market: Trabzonspor steps up pursuit of Tolu Arokodare

Trabzonspor is ramping up efforts to sign Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare. The Turkish club is aiming to secure the Wolverhampton Wanderers forward on a loan deal with a purchase option set at £26 million, including a loan fee.

Tolu Arokodare is firmly on Trabzonspor's radar. Paul Onuachu is involved in the negotiations. According to several reports, both the president and coach of Trabzonspor are especially keen to bring in Arokodare. His compatriot Paul Onuachu, already wearing the Turkish side's jersey, has also played a role in the talks.

The Nigerian forward is said to have spoken with Arokodare to introduce him to the club, the city, and the team environment. These conversations were reportedly positive and have convinced the player to seriously consider a move to Trabzonspor.

Negotiations ongoing

Despite this progress, no agreement has been reached between the clubs yet. Wolverhampton insists that Trabzonspor cover the entirety of the player's salary, while the Turkish side only wants to pay a portion.

The Wolves also remain open to a permanent transfer, but they are unwilling to accept a deal that would result in a financial loss just one year after signing the striker.

While negotiations continue, Tolu Arokodare has returned to pre-season training with Wolverhampton at the Compton training center. Other clubs are also monitoring his situation, which could further complicate talks.
