Cory Adjetey-Brew has put pen to paper on his first professional contract with Queens Park Rangers. The 18-year-old Ghanaian left-back is rewarded for his impressive development within the London club's academy.

After joining QPR in 2024 following his departure from Arsenal, Adjetey-Brew quickly rose through the ranks, impressing the club's management with both his performances and attitude. Signing this deal marks a pivotal moment in the young defender's career.

A journey defined by resilience

His path to the professional game has been anything but straightforward. Released by Arsenal after spending several years there, Cory Adjetey-Brew was forced to seek a new opportunity to continue his development.

"This is a very important moment for me. There have been a lot of ups and downs, but I see this as only the beginning of my journey. There's still a lot more to come," said the player.

The young full-back explained that leaving the Gunners was a particularly tough period in his career.

"The first big challenge was leaving Arsenal. I’d been there for a long time. But from my very first week at QPR, I felt like this was the place where I wanted to build my future," he revealed.

Adjetey-Brew also paid tribute to his family's support, especially his mother, who stood by him during that difficult stretch. He believes the experience helped him grow and strengthen his mindset.

The London club is now betting on his continued progression. QPR's CEO, Christian Nourry, praised the young Ghanaian's determination and mentality.

"Cory has something you can't teach: that hunger to give everything in every match. He fully deserves this next step. He still has areas to develop, but with his maturity and eagerness to learn, he has a real chance to carve out a professional career," said the club executive.

With this first contract, Cory Adjetey-Brew continues his rise and now hopes to follow in the footsteps of players like Ebere Eze, a former QPR talent who became an England international and top-level player.
