Transfer news: Lamine Coly, a new Senegalese talent, joins FC Sochaux
A new milestone in Lamine Coly’s young career. The Senegalese defender, born in 2008, leaves Guédiawaye Espoirs for FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, as part of a partnership officially announced on Friday between the two clubs.
A pathway opening up until 2032
It is a symbolic arrival. As the Guédiawaye Espoirs Academy and FC Sochaux-Montbéliard have just officially announced a partnership that will link them until 2032, Lamine Coly is the first to benefit from it. The young centre-back will now continue his development within the Doubs-based club’s structure.
First the Espoirs, then the professionals in his sights
Sochaux’s first team currently plays in Ligue 2. Initially, Lamine Coly is expected to join the Espoirs team to adapt and progress through the ranks. Captain and a key figure in Guédiawaye’s promotion to Nationale 2, the defender will discover a more demanding environment, with the ambition of gradually moving closer to the professional squad.
