Augustine Boakye has brought a moment of joy to a young AS Saint-Étienne supporter. Moved by the story of Aaron, a seven-year-old boy who travelled 1,200 kilometres to watch the Greens beat Nantes on October 24, the Ghanaian player decided to send him a personally signed shirt.

Augustine Boakye’s Heartwarming Gesture Towards a Seven-Year-Old Fan

During the match against Nantes, Aaron went to the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard with a banner specially made for Augustine Boakye. His goal was simple: to catch the attention of his favourite player and hopefully meet him. Despite Saint-Étienne’s victory, the young boy left the stadium without getting the chance to fulfil his wish.

His mother subsequently shared the story on social media, hoping the message would reach the Ghanaian forward. The story eventually touched Boakye, who decided to personally respond to his young admirer’s dedication.

A Signed Shirt Turns Disappointment into Happiness

On Monday, November 2, Aaron received an ASSE shirt signed by Augustine Boakye himself. The gift, sent directly by the player, brought great emotion to the young boy and his parents. On Instagram, the family shared their joy, describing the moment as “pure happiness”.

His parents highlighted their son's excitement as he opened the gift, describing it as a moment that would remain in his memory forever. “We now have the happiest child in the world,” they added. Through this gesture, Augustine Boakye responded in the best possible way to the passion of a young supporter who had travelled a considerable distance to cheer on his team.
